The ongoing saga

Manager Jewell will today try to complete the signing of Norwich midfielder Damien Francis. Jewell was hoping to play Francis last night but the deal is still on hold as both parties try to thrash out personal terms.

Jewell will also hold further talks with Francis's agent Tony Finnigan, who also handles Ellington's affairs.
