Just seen your posts about Archant yesterday.

I don't know all the answers to your questions, but re: Richard Balls . . .

Richard moved from the EDP to the Evening News of his own volition a couple of years ago. Unsurprisngly, he took his column with him, which then ran on Thursdays in the Evening News.

The Fan's Eye View column in the EDP was taken on by Adam Aiken, who still writes it today.

Richard then left the Evening News (and Archant) a year ago, but continued his column until a few weeks ago. At that point, he decided the column had run its course. There was no attempt by Archant to ditch him.

Adam still writes the EDP column that Richard started all those years ago. You may or may not like what Adam writes, but I think it's a bit harsh to say that Richard was the only one who dared criticise the board.

And Klobo04 - the fact that the club have made complaints in the past about Richard, Adam AND Steve Gedge suggests that it wasn't only Richard who had the balls to tackle them.
