All of a sudden we can bring in a recent Premier League boss and tell him money is no object if he keeps us up. This is after being a "cheap option" club under Grant.
Roeder said he is going to remind the board of the money they promised him. After meetings, Roeder is said to be happy with his transfer funds. Roeder doesn't exactly seem the type of person to accept any crap. So...
Delia comes out and states that investment is all good. Leading the fans to believe that Glenn does indeed have the money to sign players and that Cullum or Turners were investing.
Glenn Roeder was "allowed" to sell, sack or let go several players and staff - on a scale that we haven't seen before. We have always had some crap players who stick around, or some youth players that have "eternal potential" and random backroom staff. Now we have a bare squad with the likes of Darren Huckerby even being told to leave...
Which really does point toward an influx of players, yet it hasn't happened. Then we seemingly cut off negotiations with one potential investor with nothing at all being said about anyone else.
Logically, one would assume we have money coming in and the club is keeping it quiet, but as every day passes with no news it does seem less and less likely...
The whole thing doesn't make sense.
I'm was hoping we'd unveal 4 or 5 at a mega conference, but as secrets aren't easily kept in football these days so that seems highly unlikely.
