You're right, that's probably *exactly* how they see it

Unfortunately emotional investment is near impossible to quantify.

But I think it's clear that substantial investment really is required - 2m loans, a few hundred grand from off field activities and the hope that we can get lucky with some young Prem loanees just wont cut it I don't think.
