An offer somewhere in between a) and b), which would be around the 35m mark, might well see a transaction take place. Perhaps a little closer to 40m.

If it is only worth 20m, this would suggest that Delia would make a significant profit selling it even at 30m, let alone 56m, so it really doesn't make sense for her to simply call off negotiations.
