You don't, and in fact it's highly likely that they did, given the secrecy with which most transfer deals are conducted. How else would this guy have known to offer some extra finance?

Ok, it's been a good discussion anyway. I guess I just don't agree with your assertion that the board are being negligent with regard to getting investment into the club. All the Cullum stories are nothing but rumour and speculation at present - I guess we'll have a better idea when it all comes out. In the meantime I just think we need to avoid splitting the club in two just when we've got a decent manager and a couple of exciting signings (although evidently not all the signings we need...yet). You've seen the consequences of a bad atmosphere at the club; it's the last thing we need going onto this season.
