Was it an offer though?

This is the frustrating part- it's all smoke and mirrors. All we know for certain is that PC was prepared to put ?20m into the club to buy players. He also said he would not put this money in without having control of the club.

What we still don't know is if he expected to acquire a majority shareholding with no further cost to himself. As I said before, I find that difficult to believe but nobody has refuted it yet.

Whilst I understand that he would need to do due diligence etc before confirming any offer, he could at least clarify his intentions subject to further investigation, audit etc.

If there was a realistic chance of acquiring the club for ?20m, I don't think there would be any shortage of takers. I bet that there would be enough wrathers with the relevant know how and clout to obtain funding on that basis.....how about it?
