So what does the future hold under Delia?

If that is what it is to be. What has become clear is that the way this board have structured the debt - that spiralled during their tenure, and the fact they held two share issues recently (mainly because of this board's decision to spend revenue it had not received, and never did receive) have placed formidable hurdles in the way of anyone (be it Cullum, or the Turners, or Mr X) pumping in a club-changing amount of money.

So for the foreseeable future the club will continue to lose money. For more than a decade Roeder and his successors' hands will be tied because so much money flows out by way of capital and interest payments of the debt.

Meanwhile a succession of lower-league free transfers will roll in, pronounce themselves impressed by the facilities (that have yet to provide one championship-quality player) and roll off 18 months later to Macclesfield with their contracts paid up.
