That might be enough if could find a striker who could foil off the openings/havoc a target man could create.

Look at Stoke. Sidibe had just 4 goals in 33 games
and Fuller only 15 in 39 games

Its rare that target men have big scoring records.
Its often the Earnshaws and Curetons who mop up.

Platt might be used as a bench option when we need something to happen at the end of a game.
