The whole thing with QPR a while back reported that Blackpool were "considering" an offer which it transpired was almost double his supposed release clause.

Blackpool never accepted the bid or gave QPR permission to talk to Gorkss, hence the tapping up allegations.

That wouldn't be the case if Blackpool were tied in by a release clause.
