Bloc Party... well, they're quite big. Got lots of airplay when their debut album was released. Second album not so good. You've probably heard Helicopter- that's a good song.

Modest Mouse however... oh, so, so, SOOOO very good. Saw them live last year. They have Johnny Marr from the Smiths playing Guitar for them. They're a bit folky, a bit rocky... the album Good News For People Who Love Bad News is fabulous and one of my desert island discs.
