If its £3.5m flat, even spread out over a couple of years, with add-on clauses that are likely to be reached, then no.
But if say £1m is dependent on promotion, or a significant portion is dependent on a LOT of appearances (i.e. if he only plays now and again, it won't be activated) then yes.
