The time consuming bit with painting is all the prep work and cutting in round the edges,

so I don't think it is as time saving as you may think.

Where it would be good is if you are up a ladder painting saving you having to either balance the tray on the ladder or keep going up and down.

I reckon that unless you have s**tloads of painting to do just stick with the old type roller.

I have not used one though.
