That's the one. One of the best films of all time. Talking of which I saw Get Carter

t'other day. Never watched it all the way through before. My conclusions were (a) you could understand why Michael Caine was a world star, he had incredible magnetism and screen presence; (b) it must have been shocking for its era, pretty routine now; (c) brilliantly use of t'gritty indutrial northern landscape; (d) thank f**k we've made lot of social progress since then; (e) why haven't they all died of lung cancer given the amount of smoking in the film; (f) John Osborne was an excellent actor, couldn't believe it was the playwright; and (g) no WAY does that deserve to be voted "best British film of all time", as it regularly is.
