What, by joining Derby?

I don't blame Earnie at all, but I would have thought his two big motivational factors were (a) that he was going to get a big wodge, and (b) he was leaving a team which was going precisely nowhere under Peter the Pointer.

It is true that he may have thought "And I might get a chance to score against Man Yoo and make the world take note", but being realistic about who he was joining, I can't help feeling that (a) and (b) were likely to have been the dominant influences
