There's absolutely no reason why anyone should think that Earnshaw would be any more knowledgeable about the real amount of money available, or the chances of more money coming in (from the Turners for excample) then anyone else not part of the club. Me or you, for example.

I think most are pretty confident that there isn't a great deal of money anyway, so even if Earnshaw is well connected and his statement is bang on the money, is it news? No, it's not news.
