England

James - the usual - solid but one moment of madness

Hart - utter s**te. Honestly, I don't see why he is involved. I'd rather Joe Lewis play than him, and certainly Greeno ahead of him. Just happens to be English and play in the Prem.

Ferdinand - easy. Don't see the point of him being there.

Woodgate - passed quite well for a defender
Bridge - pretty solid game - always a professional backup for Cole

Johnson - not bad. Certainly better than he looked a few years back at Chelsea

Jagielka - Jagielka ?!! Do we have no better centre backs ?!! I mean, he did OK, but international level ?!

Gerrard - utter utter s**te, although I wouldn't drop him as he does normally perform for England. Just didn't seem to want to be there and was lazy in his passing.

Barry - I think the best player on the park.

Downing - did well but against that right back so would I have done. Was surprised by the quality of his passing though. Good job.

Beckham - not his best game, although a couple of great deliveries. Was pleased to see him replaced at half time.

Bentley - one day, when he learns that he is playing for a team and not himself, he will be an international player.

Ashton - I'm still looking forward to his debut. I'm surprised he didn't play last night and Capello instead decided to start with 10 men.

Defoe - Banjo. Cow's arse. Odd really, as he is usually such a good finisher at club level, and the goal is the same shame in international football...

Crouch - oh dear. Novelty has worn off not.

Walcott - now he is the kind of play we should be giving 90 minutes in games like this instead of Defoe, Crouch and Beckham (although I understand the latter was political to do with the CONCACAF vote). Exciting player but needs to be involved.

Young - totally out of his depth. Maybe one for a year or two down the line.

Warnock - no idea. Didn't have enough to do.
