I was there in Early Feb!

On holiday in the Fjordland and then the Catlins. I even drove to Bluff, which is still rough as ever. Invercargill still had some of its Christmas Decorations up so it appears things move as fast in the Southland as they always have! I love the drove from the Fjordland to Invercargil along the coast...windswept empty twisty road.

However...I have nver venutred to the Southland/Otago in the winter...I can imagine the Southerlys to be a bit raw down there!
