As does ignoring all the other aspects such as the affect of playing first team football for a season would have on a young keeper.

Yes we COULD of kept Lewis to 'groom' as Marshall sucessor.
That would of left him playing 2/3 ressie games a month if he's lucky.
At his age I don't believe that's enough (same can be said for Gilks actually).
