Calling all techies or people who might be able to help...

Well not exactly a techie required. Basically i am building a website for a friend of mine! he is in an acoustic guitar band and wants to set up a website for people to book gigs and find information of up coming gigs etc. I have already done him a decent myspace to link to the page and i will link the myspace from the webpage also.. But basically the help i need is where to start lol, and the best domain etc to use. Any help would be MUCH apreciated!!
