City are always keen to state that the PLAYING STAFF wages/turnover ratio is something incredibly impressive like 40%.
So in 06/07 the AVERAGE wage for our 75 playing staff was apparently 126k p.a
If we want to keep that ratio but don't have the Sky parachute the average wage drops to....
85k !!
Even if Glenn culls 15 from the headcount then the rest of the poor lambs will have to get by on 106k p.a.
But of course as the Club have foreseen all this, and seen the chaos at Ipswich & Leeds & Leicester I am sure that they are fully prepared for this minor hiccup and all contracts will have been drafted accordingly.
eOh
PS The wages is what is holding us back, not the debt. And the next time City try and justify a massive wage bill I would like them to explain why Bristol City & Hull can do it on peanuts, and we can't do it on caviar & samphire.
