i suppose they assume everyone else isnt match fit

lewis was obviously still fresh after playing for the U21's so he was the natural call up.

I'm sure Green would've been called up if he was still active.

It's like a similar situation before major tournements where some players stay in training to be on standby for the squad instead of going off on their holidays.
