It could be true, possibly.

It could also be simply down to the points raised in the rest of a pretty decent article.

For me I go with Lakey's first point.
We simply had a lot of decent keepers, would struggle to give lewis the games he NEEDED to develop into a player that Cappelo would want to see more of.
Therefore when Posh offered us a decent fee, with a good sell on for protection, we took a deal that helped us short term, and gave the lad the best chance to make a career.
I don't see any more too it than that.
I could be wrong, and time will tell if there are bigger problems financially than we realise, but to leap to that from the sale of Lewis is a massive stretch
