Rot-Weiß Erfurt outcast Joseph Laumann has failed in his attempt to join Vitesse Arnhem. Laumann, who has a history of suspensions and disciplinary problems, wanted to leave Erfurt, but refused to inform his employer. He managed to get into the Vitesse Arnhem team that played a friendly on Saturday against Apeldoorn under the name "Joseph Ratzinger". Nobody at Vitesse had second thoughts. A Dutch journalist, however, found out about his true identity, and now Laumann faces the sack in Erfurt. Arnhem doesn't want him either.
