Cor, "saviour siblings"

I mean, how far do you extend that principle?

"Well we've built your saviour sibling, but it won't make enough of the bone marrow you need till it's 2 months old, so we'll wait till then before we harvest it"

That's the logical consequence, and it's obviously wrong, so the line drawing is very, very hard. How old do you let a "saviour sibling" get before you knock it on the head and take what you want?

I know this isn't the right forum for the debate, and I know there isn't an easy answer, but I really do find this a bit of a head-scratcher
