...I just keep trying to convince myself that things won't be too bad if we struggle to get anybody in, which I think Roeder will - not convinced there's this pot of money he appears to have been promised.

It's going to be another year following a starting eleven in which four or five of them aren't even ours. We really need to get a gem or two out of the Academy by the end of next year, but all that seems to be coming out at the moment is goalkeepers and you can only play one of those!
