no-one was desperate enough to pay what we were prepared to pay. It was generally regarded as a big risk (doesn't look like one now of course because with hindsight we all know it came off - at least to the extent that he looked worth the money, not that he kept us up). Our other purchases have been cheapos that no-one would bid more for. The Sidwell siutation would be different (unless we are paying over-the-odds, which seems unlikely at the moment)
