BTW I got my coax cable sorted thanks very much for the offers of help. Stripped it back and looked at the pyramid thing and realised the only thing that made sense was to stick it in the dielectric sheath oojamaflip, wrap it with insulating tape, stick the middly bit in the middle of the plug thing and Bob was my auntie, with bollocks. Anyway did all that and the telly works so I can't have gone far wrong.
