Weird ...

... I had this same discussion with a friend today who said the same thing about Jude. If I tried Hardy again it'd be Jude or Tess but life's too short - I'm trying to read some more contemporary stuff at the moment (well, actually, at the moment I'm trying to write my MA thesis but you get my point).

Strange because I love Emile Zola who isn't a million miles away from Hardy, really ...
