My point about buying success is that Manyoo's cash is self-generated, rather than Russian steel money. The yank owners haven't really put in any new money, have they?

Not saying it's a perfect situation - 'course I'd rather the spoils of success were shared more widely, and so the gaps were snaller.

But I'd still rather see trophies go to clubs who spend money they actually make, rather than money they're given. That's what I meant by buying success.
