It's a cheap compromise, there's little point getting an HD telly unless you're going to..

have some proper HD content to play through it (for me it was the playstation), so one of Blu-Ray, Playstation/Xbox or SKY HD (you're a lawyer aren't you, you can afford that) is a must-own if you've got an HD telly.
