How do you know we'll struggle to replace his quality?

You have no idea what Roeder's targets are or how well he's doing with securing them.

For all you know, he may have a player in the bag perfectly capable of replacing him.

I agree how he was released was crap - I also would have kept him for another year. I want to make that quite clear.

But quite honestly looking at his form over the past season, was he worth another contract? Probably not. He wasn't our best player last season - oddly enough, our unbeaten run came with him out of the squad. If he was our best player, he'd have been in the Player of the Season listings, wouldn't he?

I can see why Roeder's done it - and frankly, the only time I'll be questioning that decision is if, as he says, he doesn't get an adequate replacement.
