might think he usefully could do without the headache that he gets when one of his players is far far far more popular with the fans than he is himself. Look at all the whining and wheezing that was going on when he Hucks was fit but out of the team for a few matches (even though we hadn't been beaten in ages).
I'm not saying Roeder would be necessarily right, if he was thinking along those lines, but I can certainly see his point of view.
