How do you know? and who did we look for?

Did we TRY and pick up some promise from further down, look to get a bit of quiltiy in in midfield and defence?

Who knows.
I'm not saying Earnie was bad for us himself, he clearly wasn't. Scored good goals, did bloody well and I'd love yo have him back. For that he was clearly a success, he himself could not have done more.

I would have rather seen that £3.5 million spent on 2/3/4 players to improve the squad.
I don't think worthy really knew what he wanted that stage, so went for a bit of a last minute 'crowd pleasing' sigining in Earnie.
Worked fine short term, in that his goals kept us up.
We've still got a s**t squad though.
