Doesn't look like anyone has brought up his "long-standing" (and presumably degenerative) hip injury.
If medical advice was that he would never again be able to manage a full season would that appease anyone?
Or is the mass blub because we didn't get to say goodbye (just like we didn't to Eadie, Bellamy, Justin F, Sutton, Flem, Malky, Keelan, Bowen, Fleck and countless other City heroes) ?
