Pushing for promotion by Xmas?

The guy has helped haul us out of the mire that we were in back in October and has fulfilled his initial terms of contract. An achievement only made possible by bringing in a number of loan players of mostly reasonable quality.

They have now gone. Half of the squad have now gone. Over the summer he must attract a significant number of new players to this club without the benefit of having a sizable amount of money to throw at this challenge.

Don’t you see, that next season is the start of a period of (re)building the team?

Expect nothing more than mid-table at the end of next season, with a possibility of 6th place in the following one.

There is no instant, easy solution in football. The successful clubs are those that build on a plan, a commitment and a vision for the future.

As fans, we now have to be patient. Again. We must play our part but we must realise that the road to success starts from here.

Roeder has performed one minor miracle this season.

Major miracles take that bit longer.
