Ignoring the footballing reasons for whether Huckerby should've stayed or gone, the way his departure has been handled by Glenn Roeder has shown him to be a Machovelian s**tbag of the highest order with a degree in spite.
why didn't Roeder just announce that Huckerby was off before the QPR or Sheff Wed game? Then only those who valued his decreasing inputs would be up in arms, not virtually everyone who wanted to send off our best player over recent seasons in the manner he deserved. Roeder has dug his own grave now. A bad start to next season and the knives will no doubt be out for him from some quarters. This could have so easily have been avoided. The judgement by Roeder was shocking on this one.
