So much must have been already posted on here abot hucks, and in some way I should really keep my views to myself (or my dad and long suffering girlfriend), but I cant today.
I am gutted. I loved watching Hucks running with the ball. A real edge of the seat player (I forget the amount of times the moody bloke behind me shouted sit down when hucks got the ball). One of the Eadie and Gordon type players, but much better. Hucks didn't jump ship when a better offer came his way, he stuck it out.
My mate is an Arsenal fan and when Henry left Arsenal last year he told me he cried at least 3 times watching sky sports news. I thought at the time he was being a bit silly, but I know what he means now. Huckerby was Norwich City for me and watching the Anglia interview cermented that. How many other players say that they never want to play against a team because they love them?
The more I think about the politics of the way this has been handled it makes me feel sick. Hucks got us promoted, no if or buts he did. Without him it would have play offs at best. Hucks also nearly kept us up and Hucks kept us up last year and this. Not just for his goals, but the way he sets them up.
For the fact that I love Hucks I will never forgive Roeder. I will never sing a song at games with his name in and when I see that smug t**t Doncaster on the corner of carrow road I will let him know my feelings, my god I will. I could go into why the £100k+ wages he is on disgust me but I wont.
This is dedicated to Hucks. God I even named my dog after him! I am gutted, not only because I will never see him in a yellow and green shirt again, ut because for once we really had a player who loved the club. None of this kissing the badge stuff players that have been half a season do, but we knew.
Hucks you will be missed, you will never be replaced. You are and always will be a legend.
