Desperately upset, most particularly about not being able to say farewell. Much as I love Dion he has not done as much for the club, and it seems an absolute snub to have provided so much adulation for Dion whilst packing Hucks off with the amateurs from the academy.
Although I recognise he is a highly-paid player, I always felt this was justified. His recent form has shown him as a level above the mass and I still think the man who can turn a match. And to replace that will take an equally high outlay. I know that he is carrying an injury, but this hasn't been as evident recently as earlier on in the season so something has worked - and would an operation now not give him some time next season to reappear and work for us. He will be very difficult, and very expensive, to replace.
I'll miss that little fluttery thing you always felt when Hucks was on the ball - I know players move on, but there haven't been that many at Norwich who've done that, and if our finances are as poor as many feel, don't think we'll have another one soon. Sorry, Rigters is probably a very good player, and may be a new hero, but he isn't coming to the club with the already proven status that Hucks had.
He loves this club - at the away supporters' party he said that he'd be back watching them soon whatever happened.
LEGEND!!!
