I simply cannot believe it. I am pretty sure that it can't have been because of his wage demands. He loves the club so much that surely he would have been willing to take a wage cut to stay. Like someone below posted, it sounds like a new contract hasn't even been discussed, was just shown the door.
I just don't understand Roeders thinking. Yes he has had an up and down season but he has been injured for part of it and in the last 2 months, he has been awesome at times, has had 3 or 4 assists and a couple of goals. Why wouldn't you want that for at least one more year? Where are these new heros going to come from Glenn? We are led to believe we have no money! So what shall we do? Through a hero out of the door without a deserved send off.
Just watched Hucks interview on canariesworld. He said that GR had spoke to Fozzy and Doc a week or two back about their contracts. That is so disrespectful to not speak to Darren, even if it was to inform him that he wouldn't be offered a new contract. He deserves a send as big if not bigger than Dions.
I have to accept the fact that GR is paid to make decisions like this and overall, he must be alot better judge than me and if he thinks Hucks isnt good enough, we have to try to accept it. What I will not accept though is GR's management of this whole situation. Glenn you have performed miracles with keeping us up but we expect a decent season next season and if you think signings like Matty Pattison will be our new heroes, you are sadly mistaken.
A very disappointed member of the Green army :(
