I agree, but they aren't (and weren't) our players

and Pearce in particular didn't play very much (and we weren't great when he did).
The Doc has been our most consistent CB over the season as a whole. I'm not his biggest fan but he's certainly been good enough to justify a squad place (albeit on a much reduced wage, which is presumably what we are still trying to negotiate?)
