I know people seem to have warmed to Doherty, but I'm afraid I just can't. Leaving aside the lack of pace, the turning circle the size of Antarctica, the Greek Wrestling impression and the moronic fouls, he seems to drain any confidence out of the players around him. Harsh, possibly unfair, but what can I say? I'm sure many people would have Shacks on the list also, but I wonder if at least some of that is a lack of trust in the player next to him; neither he nor Doherty seem to be leaders who will take charge of a situation.
