I live on the route of one of the last routemasters to go

Was a huge relief when they were finally gone and we got a decent bus (a bendy) - accessible and spacious.

Also get other modern double-deckers regularely (down Kingsland Rd) - also a hundred times better than the Routemasters.

And as a cyclist into work every day, I've never had any problem with bendies.

By all means have a debate about getting rid of them if you must, although they are so much easier for people with buggies / kids etc.

But bringing back routemasters? A policy designed by a half-wit, appealing only to people who never, ever get buses.
