I think you're focussing too much on the minutae and missing the bigger picture.

The bigger picture being: motley, servants, wild boars, carrying swords, papal decree, the Mary Rose, suits of armour, robes, cludgies with no flusher, doctors using leeches for f**king everything, tapestries, really bad teeth even worse than now, the Tower of London, Anne Boleyns, horse and carts, small beer
