On one of my pet subjects. Healthy food - OK, I have worked out so far that every day I need to ingest the following:
5 tomatoes
4 other servings of fresh fruit or veg
3 servings of oat based commestibles
To balance that lot, I need food containing protein, such as meat or fish (must eat loads of oily fish, NOT red meat - that rots in my guts), and of course fat. Then there are the vitamins
I should be hoofing Vitamin C down my neck like there is no tomorrow (protection against colds, yeah really) and of course a dose of any other vitamin that happens to be the fad of the day.
Then there is my real hate. Yoghurt. Rotten, stinking, putrid milk, with added disguising flavours. Yeuck !! 2 pots a day should do it. And those strange little bottles containing something live (mostly 'friendly' bacteria), something I will never try mainly because I like my food to be dead and the cost of putting something into my gut that is already there in great quantity seems a bit OTT.
There must be more - oh yes - Garlic capsules. Mmmm nice. Cod liver oil (grandma gave me a spoon of that a day, tastes like the devils sperm) and things like primrose oil and glucosamine (keep those joints supple).
Thats it - stick a fork in me - I'm done. And rattling. Same again tomorrow ?
