Misrepresentation alert

All I said is that I disagree with the opinion that train travel is some wonderful way of mode of transport that connects you with a country and its people as some on here seem to think, and if you really want to do that, then hitchhiking is a much better option. If, on the other hand, you're not really bothered about how you get there and all you want is a nice holiday in Europe, then fly! Not only will it be cheaper, but hours and possibly days quicker! And anyone who would rather spend time on a train than in the destination itself is frankly bonkers.
