He (Hucks) is off, isn't he? I think most of us suspected he would be, but were clinging on in the hope that maybe, just maybe...
Shouldn't be surprised. Malky was here and then gone again, little warning about that until it happened. But Iwan, at least, was given a lot of notice that he was going to be on his way. Of course, the club aren't obliged to tell us, Hucks, or anyone about contracts, renewing or otherwise, but it might have been, well, "nice", if something had been announced so that, at least, all the speculation and "will he, won't he?" was crushed.
I don't quite see where the "new heroes" are going to come from-heroes, in a football sense, equates to me as an exciting, capable and above average player who can make things happen, and they don't come cheap-we are going to be aquiring Bosman's, frees, and promising lower league/European players in the summer -and not until July 20th or thereabouts at least, as "nothing happens" until then-so if there is a hero in amongst all that lot, well...
Roeder is talking the talk, I am sure he would walk the walk given the opportunity, but I can't see that happening.
