Next year's sponsors

There could well be something in the Aviva rumour you know. Previously, Aviva have sponsored events (athletics, cricket matches etc etc), not teams. Norwich Union is about to undergo a rebrand - that's no secret - and it would be no surprise to see the name go in favour of Aviva as a wordwide brand.

If so, then Aviva would want to do a whole bunch of marketing - what better way of assuaging the damaged Norwich egos of losing the Norwich Union name than by sponsoring the football team. The only thing that has stood in the way of that in the past is that Aviva would probably also have to sponsor York and St Johnstone,
