Whilst it's gone all wrath quiet on here, my player ratings after 30 games watched this

season and the rest on radio.

Marshall – 7.5
Criticised too often for my liking. Has been an earner of points for us and had Gallagher been in goal for us we would no doubt been relegated. Some world class savers and the odd world class clanger. Needs to improve his all round ability but is still very young. A class keeper coach for next season will do him the world of good. He needs to be more alert on starting counter attacks and watching Clarky bemoaning this every game I’m sure that’s on the managements agenda

Semi – 7.5
A good RB, but does frustrate. I sometimes get the feeling he is too laid back and doesn’t realise that he has the ability to be the best attacking RB in the championship. If Roeder can get this out of him we hae avery special player here. Again Clarky often bemoans his positioning and concentration, so expect improvements done on that ready for next season

Berty – 8
Fantastic loan signing. Has been an absolute joy to watch and seems to have a good head on his shoulders. Would love him to sign perm and if we do is a real sign of intent by the club that the position of the club has swung away from prudence and into one of ambition. For a loan signing I feel he has given his all. A bad day at scumland and a slip against Koopeeargh apart from that has not let us down

Doc – 7.5
Can we stop referring to this guy as the donk or donkerty. Have some respect for a guy who gives it his all and has been on many occasions a rock for us this season. Yes he’s not maldini and yes his slips up now and again but can you fault his application and fight for us this season. I do agree we need two CB’s for next season if we are serious about getting out of this league but Doc should be there pushing them for a place in the team.

Shacks – 6.5
At times has looked good, at others a liability. Again see above for the future of our CB’s but a decent back up and has not been a let down. He is distribution is poor at times and Grant making him captain summarises Grants management ability beautifully.

Hucks – 8
I’m not sure if I’m being generous, because for me he is a legend and my hucks tinted sunglasses often see’s Ronaldo when the performance closer resembles De Waard. Hucks is a legend and the last part of the season showed not his best form but closer to it. I love big Dion and think he’s a legend but I don’t see him as a Norwich legend. Hucks is a true true Norwich legend and if this is his last season I will never ever until the day I die forget this man and his contribution to my team and my life. My favourite player in 22 years as a supporter.

Croft – 7
He’s done well but something has obviously happened here, not going down the Neil Adams route but for him to not be played the last 5 games or so either means injury, attitude or something to do with those premiership rumours a couple of months back when he was playing well. Caused by the agent? Well worth keeping but would not be gutted if we got a decent enough fee. Would like him to stay though and at times has caused left backs real problems this season.

Fozzy – 8
A tough one to evaluate because he has hands down for me been our most important player this season but not the best (although extremely unlucky not to be a runner up for pots). Without the Fozz I have absolutey no doubt that we would be sat here right now looking up the closest tube station to Leyton Orient. The way he sets the tone and the way he spreads the ball has been fantastic and is a great choice for capt. If a successful team is based on partnerships, Fozzy and Rusty in the middle has been the best partnership we’ve seen at Norwich this season. In fact maybe the only really strongly developed partenership. Give him a 3 year deal asap.

Rusty – 8.5
What an indutrious and hard working player, great attitude and has chipped in the odd important goal. Without the 2 red cards and the loss of place/form in the last couple of games would have seen Dion perhaps a runner up in pots. Don’t want to see anybody else line up first game of the season in CM than rusty and fozzy.

Dion – 8.5
Love this guy and what a send off for the big man. A man who has played only 2 seasons for us and in probably the worst 2 seasons of my life if not then definitely since the turn of the century but look at how we send him off, look at the tears in the eyes of the big legend, what a club we are and it makes me proud to support a club like ours, I love my club and apart from my family see it as the 2nd most important thing I will ever have in my time on this earth. Deserved his pots not just for sentiment but he has given it everything this season and has done it for himself and for the fans, a leader on and off the pitch and no doubt has kept the dressing room together at times of crisis and panic.

Ched – 8
A great signing and hope we can keep him on whatever scenario. Scored some absolute crackers and will just get better and better with time. His performance at scumland was fantastic and although needed a break in March was probably our most potent threat.

Curo – 7
I don’t want to be harsh but he is not good enough to start for us. Has too many faults, not enough pace, misses a lot of easy chances, gets caught offside, and lightweight. His love for the club is in no doubt but should only be considored a squad player.

Patty – 7
A good fighter but lacks awareness and often makes the wrong choices. A good back up to rusty and I prefer him as the non winger wide man. A good signing though for his versatiltiy and tenacious spirit.

Gibbs - 6.5
Shows promise but similar to Chelsea’s Smith, not really showed his true class, a season loan may do him good with a weight based pre season to beef him up.

Mo limits – 7
A good left back filler and did his bit for the team. No thrills and was fairly solid. If we get berty back and drury fit no need for him to stay. But deserves to be remembered in a positive light.

Tiny – 8.5
Why didn’t we sign him!! but this could be a blessing, he will no doubt (if brum stay up) be shipped out in the summer for less thasn what we would have paid in Jan. In hindsight we didn’t need him so if we do get him it would have come together nicely. But what a CB, he was so good he made Doc and Shacks twice the players they normally are. Great at passing the ball out and solid as a rock. Pace is the only thing lacking but that’s what makes him gettable for a club like ours. Should be top of our shopping list

Roeder – 9
What a manager, he is right to say that the journey we have gone on from November is a huge achievement. We were quite frankly as s**t as anything I’ve ever seen under Grant’s management. He does sometimes piss me off with his team selections, his handelling of situations – Huck’s contract, comments about Adams was unnecessary and not sure about the sale of Lewis. But everything else he has done has been class. The way he walked the talk after the Plymouth game was amazing. Shipped the s**te out and transformed the team in miraculous time. I think this has been the current boards best managerial signing. I understand his history of him transforming a team and steadying the ship and then it falling apart but sometimes you get a manager and a club that are made for each other and maybe we have just found ours.

Clark – 9.5
I love this guy and hope he stays by Roeders side for a long time and maybe eventually Roeder can move upstairs and Clarky take over. His encouragement and enthusiasm is fantastic and I’m sure he’s the straw that stirs the drink at the club with Roeder the disciplinarian. You can see the players admire, like and respect him and just has a winning spirit about him. Lose Clark and I would be a very worried fan.

Grant – 4
Right I want to give him a 1 but for the following reasons haven’t. 1, For leaving with such dignity and honesty. 2, For a few good signings in Fozzy, Rusty, Marshy, Semi, and re-signing Dion. 3, For not spunking money – even Strihavka wasn’t as an expensive flop just a flop. We made money on Brown and the good players above were all great value for money. So that’s 3 extra points for the 1 I’d give him for his ability this season to manage our football club.

Now I don’t think I’ve been too generous and this tells me with a few decent sigings and 2 full 11’s of a squad we will be up and challenging next season. Thanks f**k this season is over and I’m already looking forward to next, I predict it’s going to be a good one.
