They would have had the choice to take more, but more that likely turned them down, on the basis that QPR would have to pay for their allocation regardless of whether they sold them or not.
They was a right old barney between Southampton and their fans at the end of last season. Two weeks before their game at Carrow Road, Southampton decided to only take an allocation of 1200.
In the games between that decision and the day they played us, Southampton won all their games, and other teams team around them lost or drew. All the Southampton glory hunting fans suddenly wanted to get to the Norwich game and couldn't as they had returned around 900 tickets of their maximum 2100 allocation.
